Dating and Love in only 6 Degrees
According to Wikipedia, the 6 degrees of separation refers to the idea that if a person is only 1 step away from each person they know.
Wikipedia continues to tell us that we are then only 2 steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is an average of 6 "steps" away from each person on Earth. So, really, you are very close to just about every person on earth, even Kevin Bacon!
One of the most interesting, and important, factors of finding the perfect dating match is how many people you know and interact with on a daily basis. This is not to say that you must have 300 friends on Facebook, but, it does mean you need to socialize in a way that will be of most benefit. So, by socializing with people you want to attract, you will in turn either attract them, 1 degree away, or attract someone who knows them, 2 to 6 degrees away.
This may not be people you are most familiar with, but those whose interests, or personalities, are more in relation with your own, the more you find others in the same way. These others will either be directly connected to you, or most likely, a few degrees separated from you. It's really not as complex as it sounds, basically it's just friends of friends.
Begin by checking your social interactions with others. Who do you communicate with on a regular basis? Who do you want to interact with or potentially date? What interests or hobbies do you have that you would like to align with in others, or even that you would like to find the opposite of in others? Start searching for these communities online through your immediate friends, and join forums, become a regular in these new communities, and make friends that do, or if you desire do not, align with your interests. This is how you will begin to find potential dates that are not directly connected to you.
Join internet dating services, this is a must! But before you start spending a lot of money on the dating services, try the free ones first to learn how the system works. There are tons of free ones available to try, and the only cost is a little of time and effort on your part. But isnt that effort worth it!? Then spend time in the forums and get to know others in your area of interest. You will be amazed at how easy it all becomes.
Remember the six degrees? Someone you know may introduce you to that special potential date, or that someone may have been lurking on the community forum, waiting for someone like you!
